I think dull cooker meals should exist done in the tedious cooker! And then forget all the steps! Toss all ingredients into the slow cooker. Give it a stir and then cook information technology on low for the suggested time. Information technology's so proficient and you don't have to do all the individual steps. Add the cornstarch at the end and stir. Serve over rice. Better than take-out!!

This was an easy, delicious and healthy dinner. Every bit some others did, I used depression sodium soy sauce and that seemed about right for saltiness. I wanted to stay true to the original recipe but I did reduce the carbohydrate to 1/four cup (watching carbohydrate carbs) and too added i/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to give it a little zing. Rather than steam the broccoli, I just added it right later adding the cornstarch slurry and it was perfect afterwards 30 minutes! I'll definitely brand this again - next time I may add sliced onion virtually the get-go of the cooking and scarlet pepper strips with the broccoli.

My whole family enjoyed this, even the ane who says he doesn't similar Chinese food. He ate the most of all of us! I used Better than Boullion, calorie-free soy sauce, garlic pulverization and a flank steak, because that'south what I had on hand and it still turned out delicious and nosotros didn't think also salty. I also threw in a sliced sugariness onion like some other reviewer suggested. Great, easy recipe with very minimal prep that I will be making again. The sauce is thinner and less viscous than restaraunt manner broccoli beef, but no complaints here anyway.

I followed the ingredients and directions EXACTLY except I used lower sodium soy sauce because that'south all I ever use. This was still very salty. I think I would leave out the bouillion next time or use depression sodium beef goop instead. Other than that, there are no adjustments needed. I will brand this again.

This was very skilful. My family liked it. The only alter I made is to substitute oyster sauce for half of the soy sauce. I also used 2 sixteen ounce bags of frozen broccoli florets instead of fresh broccoli. I found that afterwards cooking half-dozen hours on Low the thinly sliced beef I used had fallen apart mostly. But that was ok. If you want your beef to hold together more in slices it's probably best to simply cook for 4-5 hours or utilise thick chunks of beef instead of slicing information technology sparse like you would for a regular stir fry. The sauce never thickened for me, just I didn't carp cooking information technology down in a sauce pan. There was plenty of juciness for the quinoa I served this with to soak upwards!! I will make this again. Leftovers are great!

When set to use put in tedious cooker with the h2o and follow your recipe from there! A new favorite at our house! This can easily be turned into a gluten-free meal by using gluten-complimentary soy sauce!

I used very sparse sliced beef. I cooked it on loftier for 1 hr., then cooked information technology on low for another three hrs. I used organic beef goop and low sodium soy sauce. I used 3 cloves of garlic, but I think it could have used 4. The sauce didn't thicken in the crock pot, so next time I will use the proposition of thickening the sauce on the stove. *Update* Made this again and used a tin can of beef gravy and a couple tablespoons of water instead of the bullion and water. Used very thin sliced beef and cooked information technology on high for 3 hrs, adding the cornstarch and water at two hrs and 30 min. The consistency was thick enough without having to thicken the sauce on the stove.

As one member commented I also just put everything in the slow cooker except veggies without any prep piece of work which saved about a half hour and muddied dishes ( I did add peapods, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots forth with the broccoli afterwards 4 hrs. ( we like our veggies crunchy) and cooked on depression for 4 hrs. stirring every couple hours and then added the veggies and cooked some other 3 hrs. and it came out crawly. Notwithstanding I will make about 50% more than sauce next time.

Attempt making the recipe with the total corporeality of soy sauce to increase flavor. Also, I just steamed the broccoli in the microwave--much easier, and omitted the sesame oil. Cooked the meat (only 1 pound) in the slow cooker on loftier for about two-3 hours.

Ok so I followed this exactly and my husband and I did not like this at all. I mean like really didn't like it. Too salty, and but a bad overall gustation. Cornstarch did not thicken mine at all, even after existence on high for xxx minutes. Some of y'all were plainly able to get a tasty result, but I was not.

Used 1/4 cup soy sauce and i/4 loving cup chocolate-brown sugar. It turned out beautifully! I put the uncooked broccoli directly in the slow cooker for the last x minutes My husband, who is a fussy eater, raved virtually it. In fact, he went on and on near it and had 3 servings! I will definitely make it again.

I made it exactly similar instructed and it wasn't too salty like some said. I did use low sodium soy sauce though. It was very good and my kids enjoyed it to. I didn't know it was a Chinese dish never had Chinese nutrient. :-)

I received a lot of compliments with this recipe. I added sliced onions and mushrooms to information technology. I decided to add together the broccoli about half manner through cooking time, and the onions and mushrooms about an 60 minutes after that. The sauce is perfect! I did employ a reduced sodium soy sauce. Got home late. Tossed in some leftover sautéed peppers & onions. Cooked some rice. Got changed, had a drinking glass of wine. Scooped rice into bowls, ladled beef mixture from crock pot over top & enjoyed! Did non have /add together thickening amanuensis- no need. Succulent! Make information technology again practiced!!! I used chopped broccoli instead and used low sodium soy sauce. Had to double the recipe due to feeding 8. Smelled just like take out but price me manner less. #happy mom.

While everything was pretty good, it tasted just a piffling bit off, like it was missing something but I'one thousand non sure what. I did use depression sodium soy sauce and sodium free beef bullion then it wasn't too salty. Overall, decent quick prep repast.

Followed ingredients, but did what others suggested and threw the broccoli in when cornstarch was added. Very expert! Next time I would add together onion and definitely increase the sauce. I used low sodium soy sauce and did not call up it was also salty as other reviewers say. Topped with some sriracha sauce to add together a fiddling kick. Note: non sure if sirloin is a necessary expenditure. I recollect next time I would use stew meat or round.

Followed the recipe with a few additions. Some fresh Onion slices, Fresh mushrooms, and scarlet pepper flakes. Cut the soy sauce in half and used oyster sauce as others suggested. Used corn starch and made a roux when the corstarch failed. Neither was successful in thickening my sauce. Used frozen Broccoli florets. Nevertheless astonishing and will make again!

We liked this recipe, thank yous. I followed the directions exactly. Was a bit too sweet for our taste. If I brand information technology again in the time to come, I'd reduce the sweetener, or possibly adjust the soy sauce. I substituted garlic flavored olive oil for the sesame oil. I made the tiresome cooker beefiness as written. I didn't thicken the sauce. I ladled it out and used it for stir fry sauce. I used i bag of frozen stir fry vegetables, thawed. When these were done I added a half package of cooked whole wheat angel pilus pasta. And then I dumped the beefiness with any remaining sauce into the wok and combined all until well mixed and coated with sauce. I served this every bit lo mein without rice.

Made it exactly as specified with the exception of using depression sodium soy sauce. We loved the gustatory modality and texture. I will start to play with it at present - I want to add together onions, I recall ,and ginger. I did not mess with the sugar - the salty/sweetness contrast is key in this one.

A very tasty, easy recipe. I followed the recipe as is only I found it more salty than I liked. The rest of the family unit, however, gobbled information technology up - fifty-fifty the not big on broccoli fans! The recipe was a really nice addition to a chinese-themed-meal for a family dinner. I found it was very convenient to have this main dish cooking in the slow cooker when prepping/cooking the rest of the dinner on the stove.

I did something I've never done and I added my instant rice to the crock pot to cook with the meat. I simply added extra h2o. Worked great! I used instant brown rice. I used stew meat too. We liked this, it was really easy with my short cuts......The second time I made the error of using long grain brown rice and I had to add a lot of water and proceed it on high for 3 hours to get the rice cooked. In one case cooked, I turned it down to depression and stirred in thawed broccoli.

I made this as is. It was ok at all-time. It had an amazing smokey smell, though-- my girl and I were very excited to try information technology. Followed the exact recipe except for the rice (I used white). Cooked on high for 4 hours and the meat was very tender! I will brand this again. There was barely whatever prep and it was and so goooood!!

well i must say ours turned out fantastic! I ended up making a few changes ane. used Goya powdered bullion Beefiness! 1 packet. two. used depression sodium soy sauce i/ii cup iii, frozen broccoli florettes put them in subsequently 2 hours 4. used two tablespoons of cornstarch and 2 table spoons of flour to brand it thicker Just in order to make it thicker i had to pull the goop and practise broth on stove its faster for thickening Information technology came out perfect very prissy taste not salty! Nosotros really enjoyed it, and the meat melted in your mouth. It tasted better than going to a restaurant. I used depression sodium soy sauce, I used angus sirloin beef, and I added the broccoli into the crockpot virtually 30-40minutes before it would be fix instead of steaming it. It came out perfectly.

I panicked a little when I opened the slow cooker because it didn't look similar plenty to feed iii people; however, later on calculation the broccoli, it was enough. The family loved this...succulent!

I actually wanted to dearest this but it just turned out like a roast. The meat became shredded when yous stirred it and I had to add some actress seasonings because it was kind of bland. The family liked it ok, no ane complained. I do know that Chinese food is almost quick and hot cooking and then slow and depression is probably not the best manner to prepare.
